I have to admit, it's getting more interesting now. But it's kinda confusing with the "evil" cloud that appeared during his power assessment. So is that sword good or evil? I get it that there's something fishy behind his mother's disappearance (like why would the Demon King kidnap her and then let her go). I think they are trying to imply a hidden relationship between the boy and the Demon King especially with the creepy and wry smile from the latter when the boy is trying to breakthrough. Somehow, whenever I look at the demon king, I can't help but to see the similarities between him and TS. 😉

Yeah I noticed that--very much TS in temperament. If the Demon King is his Grandfather as it's safe to assume, this is gonna be interesting. I thought it was funny how TS only had to open his hand in the assessment. Here it was like, "try not to die". 🤣

He's an old monster over 1000 years old but due in being first among pillars and being Very, Very strong.
It's natural in stories like these for one to look young the stronger they are

I believe should be "ZI Chuan" also called "Purple River" that is included here on Gogoanime Chinese menu. A great action anime with backstabbing politics, and some romance. The action fight were great, and like many Chinese stories, seems to include vengeance and maybe tragedy with the death of relatives.

Edit: Okay i tried It. The anime is about a lazy mc and permanent war, both not my type so i will pass.

The fights are great, but like you said the MC seems lazy in a time of war, but in secret is an overpowered guy using a mask. What I didn't like is that it seems to have many betrayals and backstabbing politics.
